 Founded in 1995 by Rose Marie Stirling, Origèn is a celebration of cultural beauty and creativity from around the world. Born from Rose Marie’s travels to exotic corners of the globe, Origèn is renowned for its vibrant collections of fashion, exquisite jewellery, artisanal homewares, and accessories like bags, scarves, and shoes.

Our signature aesthetic blends colourful prints, intricate embroidery, and thoughtful embellishments, with each piece telling a story inspired by global cultures, art, and nature.

Guatemala: The Soul of Origèn
 Origèn’s deep connection to Guatemala began with owner Rose Marie Stirling and her mother, Elvira Sposito, who spent extended periods in the highlands with the descendants of the Mayans. “We fell in love with the descendants of the greatest Mayan Empire,” says Rose Marie. “They live in a land shaped by ancient civilizations, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Despite the challenges they face, Guatemalan artisans create breathtaking handmade products that reflect their resilience and vibrant spirit.”

Through strong partnerships built on respect, dignity, and transparency, Origèn collaborates directly with artisan families to source brilliantly hued, embroidered jewellery, accessories, and home accents. “We pay them a fair price, and all funds go directly to the artisans,” explains Rose Marie. “This ensures they can support their families while keeping their artistic traditions alive.”

This unique partnership fosters self-sufficiency in indigenous communities and introduces Australians to exquisite handmade treasures. Every piece from Guatemala embodies a story of perseverance, artistry, and a shared commitment to creating beauty while making a difference.
